Summer 2019 DDA Update

We extend a big thanks to the LHS Bowling Team for providing course support for our Run The Beach 5k, to Andy Kmetz & Chuck Lange for driving and maintaining the Baby Badger and to Connexion Point for providing the volunteers to man the inflatables at Friday Night Live this year. We also want to thank Mayor Steve Miller, City Manager Mitch Foster, DDA Board Member/City Councilor Les Johnson,  and the City of Ludington DPW Crew for their support at Friday Night Live. One more FNL Thank You goes out to our sponsors: House of Flavors, Snyder’s Shoes, Oxy, Republic Services, West Shore Bank, and Redfin and to all of the organizations that took time out of their summer to help make our events successful.

Will be meeting in September to plan holiday advertising and the 2020 budget. 

Building & Grounds

Met August 15th

  • Reviewed and discussed the restroom building plans for the James Street Plaza renovation.
  • Discussed possible requests for the 2020 budget including eight street planter pots and plants, bike racks, corrals or security cameras for the DDA dumpsters, a glass recycling bin, and way-finding signage.
  • They also discussed postponing the paving of the new Filer Street parking lot until after the James Street Plaza project has been funded.
